Who is responsible
The data controller is Brainsplaining. For any privacy question, write to contact@brainsplaining.com.
What we collect and why
When you sign up, we collect your email address and the time you gave consent. We use it for two things only: to send you the free guide and worksheets, and to send you new Brainsplaining films, worksheets and occasional offers for Brainsplaining guides. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
This site uses no analytics, advertising pixels, tracking cookies or third-party fonts.
Who processes it
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) stores the email list and sends the emails, under a data processing agreement.
- Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland) handles payments when you buy a guide. Stripe collects your name, email, card and billing details directly; we never see your full card number. We receive the order details and keep them as long as accounting law requires. The legal basis is the purchase contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Netlify (USA) hosts this website and the PDF files. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages. It is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your address is never sold or shared for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all further mail.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent at any time, by writing to the contact address above. You may also complain to your national data protection authority. In Sweden, that is IMY (imy.se).
Not medical advice
Brainsplaining films, guides and worksheets are for education and entertainment. They are not medical or psychological advice and cannot replace a professional. If you are struggling, in the US you can call or text 988; anywhere else, findahelpline.com lists free, confidential support in your country.
